Stormy Bradley
2020/2021 Shakaat Artist-in-ResidenceStormy Bradley is from Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation, a member of the crow clan and lives in Whitehorse, Yukon. She has completed the foundations of art program at the School of Visual Arts in Dawson City, Yukon. Stormy is multidisciplinary artist utilizing from the land materials and blending traditional knowledge to create contemporary works. She has hosted workshops such as honouring the feminine for International Women’s Day, featuring beaded vulvas and did a series of workshops for Remembrance Day, featuring beaded poppies to honour our veterans. She travels to her community of Dawson City to work with youth as often as her schedule will allow. Stormy has a passion for helping youth connect to their culture through various traditional artistry. She is also a member of the youth working group for gender equality through the federal department of women and gender.
