Jesse Hudson

Jesse Janis Joe Hudson was born in Kwanlin (Whitehorse), and is a member of the crow clan of Champagne and Aishihik First Nations.  Her parents are Kim Hudson and Dave Joe, and her grandparents are Harry and Jessie Joe, and Ralph and Jan Hudson.  Jesse started learning how to bead and sew when she was eight years old, when her Aunt Frances Joe began to teach her at Klukshu.  Ever since, Jesse has been sewing with her aunts and friends.  Jesse has inherited many patterns from Aunt Frances and her Grandma Joe and has since begun creating her own patterns.  This summer Jesse will be working on her first shawl.
