Yataya van Kampen

I am Yataya van Kampen and was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. During the 2018/2019 school year I studied in Paris at the Paris Academy of Art. I was trained in classical realism, learning how to use my pencil and eraser to execute an accurate representation of what I was drawing from, which was either a live model or a cast. This summer I have been working as an illustrator for Champagne and Aishihik First Nations, delving into watercolored portraits and storybook illustrations.
