Geis Tóo’e - Elder’s Lounge
Geis Tóo’e – Tagish: This room is named King Salmon Creek the traditional name for M’Clintock River where Tagish Kwan would set traps and fish for salmon, grayling, whitefish and trout. The river was also important for hunting caribou during their fall migration as hunters would set traps and snares at known river crossings.
Featuring vaulted cedar clad ceilings, a working fireplace, portraits of Kwanlin Dün Elders and our signature Sun-Moon Window, the Elder’s Lounge is an inviting and welcoming space. When not used for cultural programming the Elder’s Lounge can be booked for small meetings or as a breakout or hospitality space.
