Geiwú Tlein Eetí - ARTISTS STUDIO
Geiwú Tlein Eetí – Tlingit: This room is named “Big Fishnet Place” and refers to the head of the Yukon River below Marsh Lake. Before the Lewis Marsh Dam was build there used to be a series of sloughs where fishing was good in the spring. Tagish People, Marsh Lake People and people from present day Whitehorse would go there to fish.
The Geiwú Tlein Eetí (Artist Studio) is centrally located in the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre with glass walls facing the corridor and exterior entry option. Built in blinds are along all windows for privacy as desired. This space is fantastic for workshops, public info sessions, meetings or breakout space.
